Or any movie for that matter. Disney movies just have that magial element that make them so much fun to watch. I wouls have to say that “Beauty and the Beast” is my favorite. The end. Quite possibly my shortest post ever.

#10 Madi is a Prisoner to Amish Friendship Bread
Yes, a prisoner. It’s like one of those neverending cycles that you feel compelled to keep going once you’ve been forced to start. However, the results are quite tasty. If you’ve never experienced the magic that is Amish Friendship Bread before, please tell me and I will make sure that you become a prisoner as well. It’s an enjoyable burden. Tasty, but a pain at the same time. I have some in the oven right now. : )

#9 Madi Enjoys Art
Not just looking at art (Althoug, that is one of my favorite pastimes). I enjoy creating my own. I will draw, paint, color, sculpt, mosaic, and paper-fold to my little hearts content. I’m not extremely talented or anything. It’s just something that I love to do. I don’t really care how fabulous or horrific it looks because I’m too focused on the joy and stress-relief that it brings. Today, I drew a fun picture of a Fender Strat, using Mitchell’s Christmas present as inspiration. It was just a quick 15 minute deal, but I loved every second of it. Another art form that is probably on the top of my list is paper folding/ other paper crafts. I especially enjoy making paper photo cubes. They’re these cute little things made out of adorable scrapbook paper that can hold one photo on each of its six sides. They bring me happiness. haha : )

#8 Madi Drinks Hot Tea
It makes me feel British even though I’m not. Plus, you can get it in about 17.5 billion different flavors. My favorites so far are cranberry-apple, blueberry, and green. Green tea doesn’t have much flavor, but it’s strangely good. Tea is better than hot chocolate or apple cider. I would be content if it were the only beverage on the planet. So, if any of you non-tea drikers out there get one of those “monthly tea” gift boxes for Christmas, you know where to send it. haha.

#7 Madi Loves Horses
Intense, right? I absolutely love horses! They are the best animals in the world, and there are not many things that are as rewarding as caring for and bonding with a horse. Over the past five years, my horse has been my best friend. She makes me happy when I am down, she gives me confidence, she teaches me patience and perseverance, and, she now paints me pictures that I proudly display on my wall (framed of course). That little nicker that she gives me every time that I walk into the barn makes me feel so important- like she’s been waiting for my companionship. When I look into those big brown eyes, I can sense her sweet, gentle spirit. I am so thankful that I have her in my life, and I don’t know what I would do without her.

#6 Madi Loves People
I guess most people already know this one. I am such a people person. I enjoy pursuing friendships and building relationships, but sometimes I let myself take it too personally when I don’t “hit it off” with a person. Naturally, since I love people, I love company. I get lonely without a companion (yes, as a matter of fact, my biggest fear is living my whole life without being married) but I extremely self-sufficient at the same time. In other words, I don’t need the constant tending to, just the companionship. I may seem like I toss around the “I love you” phrase too often for some people. I do use it quite frequently, but I would not say it if I didn’t mean it. I just happen to love a bunch of people. : )

#5 Madi Loves Words
Yes, words. I love them and everything about them. Actually, I kind of obsess over words. I love the power of a word. They are beautiful (well, most of them) and you can use them to express anything that you want. I have quite the word fetish. As in, there are some words that I absolutely love to use, and some words that I cringe at. Here are just a few:
Madi’s favorites: affinity, grass, brook, apple, luminescent, quixotic, ennui, pomegranate, flummoxed, and so many more
The “never say” list: crayon, inception, duty, moist, crusty, beef, elbow…the list goes on

#4 Madi is 16 Years and 360 Days Old
Yeah, I know, that’s a lame fact, but it’s something that most people don’t know. Someone a few weeks ago asked if I was a freshman. That implies that I am 14 years old which is not true. I guess I look kind of young. On the total opposite end of the spectrum, other people assume I’ve already graduated from high school (that would be a negative.) I don’t know where that comes from. Anyway, neither are true. I am very much 16…going on 17. (I made a musical reference) haha

#3 Madi is a Hopeless Romantic
Yes, yes, it’s true. I confess to loving cheesy romance novels. But, that’s not all. I am pretty much 99.9% sure that I am destined to be with a Scottish man named Angus that has a fabulous soul patch. (The soul patch is conditional because not all Scottish men look nice with facial hair.) Where I’m going to meet such a man, I have no idea. But, someday I will, and he will have the mannerisms of Mr.Darcy (the book version).
Putting my dreams aside for a moment…I love to hear about other people’s love stories. If I’ve known you for any decent amount of time and we talk on a regular basis, you can bet that someday I will ask “How did your husband propose to you.” or “How did you propose to your wife?” or even “How did you two meet?” I absolutely LOVE love stories. So, everyone should probably go ahead and tell me theirs.

#2 Madi has an Affinity for Plaid
Simply put- I just love it. Plaid is the best pattern ever. It far surpasses polka-dots, stripes, zig-zags, houndstooth, and any other pattern out there. Basically, any time that I have something plaid hanging up in my closet, you can bet that I am going to wear it! It doesn’t matter if I’ve already worn plaid three times that week, as long as it’s clean, I will wear plaid again. Needless to say, it made me excited to get plaid uniform skirts this year. It makes wearing uniforms a lot more bearable.
